You could take beautiful walks or bike rides along easy paths that lead to mountain huts where you can spend the night and stargaze between Val Ferret and Val Veny. Another one is the path across Monte Bianco with the very modern and panoramic Skyway. You can get a real taste of this region's flavours in the many restaurants situated in the valleys. Walking in Via Roma you can find the shops of many famous brands or you could go to the ‘Museo transfrontaliero delle Guide Alpine’ for some history. If you wanted a relaxing spa day, nearby Courmayeur you can find Terme di Prè Saint Didier!

Not far we can find the city of Aosta that gets its name from Augusta Pretoria. The roman walls are the sign you are entering the centre of the city where you can find Porta Pretoria and the Arc of Augusto, Roman Theatre and the Church of S.Orso, the Cathedral and Chanoux Square. It is located in the middle of the valley and it is worth making a trip to.

There are many castles in the region, one we would recommend is the one of Fenis, which is still furnished. Other famous castles are the one of Sarre and the one of Aymavillers which has just been refurbished or the one of Issogne... it would certainly take more than a day to visit them all
